The Theatermachine provided, commissioned by Studio Warmerdam, the light for the exhibition 125 years of living at the Stedelijk. From Thonet to Dutch Design. A retrospective exhibition in which the design collection of the Stedelijk plays the leading role. Old work from the collection alongside new young designers. An adventurous journey through 125 years of design history of furniture and utensils. Interesting to see that old designs have sometimes remained surprisingly timeless.
